The Three Rivers Ferret Club cordially invites you to attend the 1998
Three Rivers Ferret Follies.
 
*Date/Time/Location*
Sunday June 21st; 12pm - 4pm; Lakeshore Shelter, North Park, Pittsburgh, PA

*Schedule*
12:00   Fun Match Begins
All afternoon:  Paw-painting
1:00    Paper Bag Escape        (Begin serving food from the grill)
1:30    Ferret Jockey / followed by Blackest Nose / followed by  Longest
        Whiskers
2:00    Flower Pot Excavation / followed by Most Creative Hat Judging
2:30    Ferret is as Ferret Does / followed by  Look-alike Judging
3:00    Tube Races / followed by Lightest/Heaviest     (End serving food
        from the grill)
3:30    Awards Ceremony and Raffle Drawing
4:00    Fun Match Ends
 
*Other Attractions*
**Meet Chris and Tara Palaski, the directors of the Pennsylvania Ferret
Rescue Association, Westmoreland County Branch and learn about their ferret
shelter, grooming, and boarding services.  The shelter will also be selling
CheweaseLs- if your ferrets haven't tried them yet, this is your
opportunity!
 
**Meet Denny Wubbena, a distributor of Fresh Nest litter.  Talk to him about
his product and purchase some to take home with you.
 
*Costs*
**Admittance and Lunch-
Adults:  $4.00 club members;  $5.00 non-members.
Children ages 7-12:  $2.00 (children of) club members;
                     $3.00 (children of) non-members.
Children under 7:  free
 
**The club is providing hamburgers, hot dogs, & drinks.  If you would like
to participate in the pot-luck picnic, you are asked to bring a side dish
to feed 6-8 people.  Examples include a vegetable dish, casserole, dessert,
salad, etc.  Disposable containers are strongly encouraged.
 
**Games:  1 ticket per game (tickets cost $.50 each)
**Paw Painting- 2 tickets per ferret (tickets cost $.50 each)
**Raffle Basket:  3 tickets for $5.00 or 10 for $10.00
 
*Important Information*
**Each ferret must have written proof of current vaccination for rabies and
canine distemper in order to be admitted to the fun match For the health and
safety of all ferrets present, we can permit no exceptions.  You must bring
your vaccination records to the event.  The records must be signed by your
veterinarian and must show the date of vaccination, vaccine used, and the
vaccine's expiration date.  Ferrets younger than 16 weeks, and ferrets which
cannot be vaccinated will not be admitted.
 
**All ferrets must be housed in travel cages or carriers.  When out of their
cages or carriers, they must be on leashes.  Cages or carriers must be clean
and outfitted with bedding, fresh food, water, and clean litter pans.
Please, no newspapers, straw, or wood chips.
 
**No other animals are permitted at the event.  It is inappropriate to leave
any animals, ferrets or otherwise, in vehicles.
 
**Don't forget to outfit your ferret with a creative hat for the "Most
Creative Hat" competition, and bring a camera to photo all of the action!
 
**Participating in the pot luck picnic?  Please bring a side dish (see
details above).
