Hi this is a reply to "very disappointed" about the Giving Tree......

I do not post often, but this caught my eye.....

There is no excuse for someone NOT to acknowledge a gift from someone
in anyway. I am very busy and still managed to send a Thank you from
the kids and our rescue to their Santa's. I found time....This is
everywhere tho....Kids {human} are not even taught to send thank
you's for gifts received. If they are in went in one ear and out the
other.....LOL.... I was raised that you send thank you's...My father,
first thing out of his mouth, do you have a thank you card, if not I
will buy them for you....but make sure you send them.....This is what
living at my house was like. I have since continued this tradition and
hope I have sunk it into my kids brain as well.

Not all of us {shelter directors} are like that, please do not judge
us all for a few thoughtless people...We need the wonderful donations.

Now on another note that follows along with this about thoughtless
people.......People who take a furkid from the tree to be their Secret
Santa and then do not send a gift. If you end up not being able to,
contact the Giving Tree and let them know that you are not able to send
a gift.....this way the furkid can be put back on as available and
needing a Santa....Things happen for reasons unknown, please, just
contact the person and let them know.....So see, it happens on both
ends.........Just thought I would throw my two cents in there....

Sorry for harping....Kit Crider
