HI ALl- shelter Mom here--
are we a busy little place.  Marie is recovering form exploratory
surgery-the tiny gal had a large chunk of very soft rubber in her belly
and an insulinoma tumor on her pancreas.  Recovery is slow but she was
ambling about tonight- belly still hurts a lot.  Otherwise Disney is
healed from surgery but still a very slow lady... we will be monitoring
blood glucose- even though no noticeable islet cell tumors were on her
pancreas at surgery 10 days ago.
 
The winter is upon us and the shelter folks are looking into ways to
finally replace the drafty windows with insulated ones to reduce heat loss
and avoid winter colds with ferrets in the shelter -- please watch our
ebay auctions listed under seller : creativekolor to help us out!
 
We have yet another new face at Ferret Wise "Charles" DOB 7-29-01, a
hooded boy with white chest & kneepads.  Charles arrived ina igloo cooler
( which was taken away) because he sometimes misses the litterbox! :(  He
is currently in quarantine & will need vaccinations prior to adoption.
Please email for a pic forwarded of the new kid-- or to request adoption
information.
 
Jerimiah will be updating soon- he has several ferrets corresponding
directly to him and has been a busy boy.
 
Ferret Wise will hold the annual Holiday Open House Sat Dec. 8 from
11AM-3PM.  Beverages, munchies complimentary- shop for gifts for ferrets &
friends- all benefit shelter programs at Ferret Wise.  Raffles (15) will
be drawn at 2:30 PM.  Also the drawing for the 2001 Holiday Quilt will be
drawn Dec 8th at 3 PM.
