Gizzy, my 4 year old ferret, has swollen lymph nodes under his arm pitts.  I
am a bit concerned about this so will be taking him to the vet.  this Wed.
Anyway, one of my other ferrets has been playing rough with him and has been
biting the area around his shoulders.  From time to time I notice scabs on
Gizzy and think that his lymph nodes may be swollen due to the bites.  Has
anyone seen this before in their ferrets?
 
One other thing I noticed on Giz was that his penis is very red and
irritated.  I am not sure what could be causing this but would appreciate
any input.  I once thought that Gizzy was rubbing his penis on rough
surfaces, but no longer think this because my other ferret, Normie, tends to
rub on things twice as much as Giz and his penis looks fine.  Hmmm..I wonder
what could be causing this.  If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
His poops and urine look fine, so who knows what is going on.
