The only effective option is to treat the adrenal disease with a vet,
and to first make sure it is adrenal disease.

Saw Palmetto is sometimes very helpful in HUMANS with MILD and BENIGN
prostate problems IF the med used actually even contains it. There has
been a lot in the press recently about many of the herbals which claim
to have it not containing any or having only trace amounts. Side effects
are mentioned as rare in humans but sometimes there is stomach upset.
Those with hormonal growths should avoid it unless cleared by medical
expert because it has some anti-estrogenic, some estrogenic, and some
anti-androgenic properties.

Cat's Claw is dried root bark of Uncaria tomentosa. The _PDR for Herbal
Medicines_ (great resource) lacks info on this species or this type of
preparation though it includes other preps for other species in the genus,
but Varro Tyler (pharmacognosy expert, first president of that topic's U.S.
society, past president of Amer. Assoc. of the Colleges of Pharmacy, Past
president of Amer. Council on Pharmaceutical Education, Distinguished
Professor Emeritus at Purdue, etc.) mentions it in at least one of his
texts. It seems safe and may be, but safety testing even in humans was
lacking at the time that text was recently written. There was also a
lack of testing whether it works for anything, plus what it is recommended
for in the folk lit is for intestinal complaints, not urinary tract one.

Hope this helps.
