(BIG - I have permission from Diane to forward the following... Shari)

From Diane Campbell of Ferret Guardian Rescue Haven, NC:

Squeezil - Dr Spindel found a large tumor in his prostate that has caused
an infection in his bladder. He passed a bladder stone last night and
screamed out in pain. I had to help it out the rest of the way to ease
his pain. While he was already having surgery, which was the only choice
since he could die either way (50/50), the right adrenal gland was as big
as a thumb so it was removed. He is not doing so well and is in need of
a lot of positive energy and prayers.

Dodger, is having the tumor on his head removed in the morning. It is not
a wolf worm as we thought. Remember him also in your prayers and send
positive thoughts. He is new. A lady found him in the middle of a road
dodging cars (which is how he acquired his name), very scared, in poor
health and very, very hungry. Very sweet boy/ loves to be held for hours
at a time. His age is between 1-2 years, dark sable and is in need of a
sponsor till someone is lucky enough to be chosen by him as his new mommy
and/or daddy. Another great personality.

Over the past year, my heartstrings have pulled so much, in so many ways.
It is so hard to maintain a positive perspective with so much negativity.
Squiggles was the straw that broke the camels back.

I thought I had seen/heard it all with all the little babies that God has
sent into my care. Some made me wonder why God would allow such cruelty
to happen to such defenseless, loving creatures. Squiggles fulfilled that
wonderment. She has changed my life in ways I am still trying to figure
out and quitting is not an option. I will seek justice for her suffering,
but no longer feel the hatred. She grows stronger every day. I wish you
could have seen her jump for the first time, pausing to figure out what
just happened and trying it again.
