Howdy.  I think having wiry versus fluffy fur has more to do with
individual ferrets than color.  My albino was always my fluffiest (we
call him the big fluffy white cloud) till Marley came along, but my
chocolate sable, Nicodemus, has wiry fur except in the winter, when he
gets really soft.
