The USDA has extended the comment period until on or before November 18,
2005.  The reason given is to allow interested persons additional time
to prepare and submit comments.
 
NOTE: As of September 20, only 296 comments have been submitted.
 
That 's a pretty dismal turnout so far.  I really expected more out of
the ferret community.
