I know I am going to get flamed badly for this post, but here it goes. It
makes my heart so heavy when I see post from folks who need to give up their
ferrets. It always seems like the same story - - I don't have time. We are
all human, and yes, there are times when I just do not feel like letting my
fur kids out because I am tired, or busy, or just feel like doing nothing.
It takes time to let them have "ferret time". You need to watch them
closely, watch where you are stepping, and then there is the gathering up
of the troops for bedtime, getting them out of their hidey hole, cleaning
the litter pan, feeding and watering them. It is even more of a pain to
find where they are. So, yes, I sometimes do not want to do this because
I just do not feel like it.

I work a full time job at sometimes 50 hours a week. I have a part-time
job that has flexible hours but requires at least 3-4 hours of my time.
I have a house, a 12-year-old daughter, a big yard, laundry, bills, etc.
but, without my fur children I would not be sane. They give me such joy.
They are my stress buster. If you can put them a room by themselves to let
them have time that sometimes works wonders. You don't have quite as big
as space to find them. I let mine out before I go to work in the morning
and usually have no problem finding them before I leave. Mornings are
their time, they love the mornings and they are the best in the morning,
and I enjoy them so much in the mornings.

Please do not be hard on me for this post. I just wanted those who feel
they need to give up their ferrets to think of the joy they give them, and
maybe, that I do know how you feel when you are exhausted.
