Had to write on the FML about my vacation and my carpet sharks. I left my
four carpet sharks with my 20-year-old daughter in charge of them. I know
lots of you are very concerned about going away and leaving your fuzzbeans,
as I am also very concerned about this.

I VERY ferret proofed my ferret's bedroom. I put a "safety board" up at
the door so when my daughter came in and out they didn't slip out when she
opened the door. Next, I put several bowls of food out and a couple of
water bowls, as well as their water bottle. I put their toys out. I taped
instructions on the wall regarding getting hot, food, water, health, vet
info., etc.

They were ok much to my apprehension about leaving them. When I returned
they look so dark and big. I think they are getting ready for winter
already. When they were allowed out of their room for play time I have
never heard so much hissing, panting, and dooking. You would think it was
Christmas or something.

I had a great time on vacation, but am glad to be back home and know that
my precious babies are ok. This may be a good idea for others. They
biggest worry is they might get sick and your caregiver may not know what
to do. We see the little signs of sickness, a caregiver may not.

I'm catching up on the FML. So far I have read lots of sad posts. Sorry
for the losses and people who have to give up their fuzzies.
