Last April when we adopted Esme', who was at least four, she showed signs
that looked like insulinoma to me, but a fasting blood glucose test didn't
show a problem. She improved after settling in here and seemed fine for
almost a year. Then she began to fall over and stare into space for so long
that I would have insisted on surgery even if her blood test had been normal
again. She had one large BB-sized insulinoma, and removing it was like
giving her a personality transplant. She is so happy that I guess she must
have felt sickly for a very long time.
