Dear Folks,
Thank you to those who dipped into their pockets and sent money to the
Bitterroot Humane Society in Hamilton, Montana. This is the little shelter
doing the great big job of caring for animals whose families have been
displaced by the fires.

So far, $10,000, (ten thousand) has been received from folks as far away
as Alabama and Maine and everywhere else. One kind fellow donated 38
tons of hay for the livestock, which are being housed at the fairgrounds.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, from all of us here at the
Critterpen. The fires are still raging, the smoke is still really bad,
but it looks like everyone is going to make it.
