My vet has found the perfect metranidazole/flagyl! It is palatable,
no undertaste, no aftertaste, no bitterness, no spitting it out, no
stress. It is metronidazole benzoate, so has a different base. Because
of that, you have to adjust the dosage, but the efficacy is the same.
He gets it from Roadrunner Pharmacy in Arizona. Metranidazole is often
the best med to use but we have avoided it because of the awful taste
and accompanying stress on our ferrets. How wonderful that someone has
finally figured out how to make it palatable!
