Condolences to those with lost, sick or angeled Sneaky Fur Snakes...
 
Well, things didn't go well for Chewy's second time out with the Rodeo
Clowns.  It looks like he will have to spend some time alone for now.  I
let him out for about two hours last night, then let the rest of the clowns
out.  Within seconds, Fuzzer and Chewy were at it.  Chewy was holding his
own...which prompted Hershey to jump in.  Chewy was even surviving that, so
Smokey jumped in.  When it became three-on-one, I decided it wasn't going
to work.  Though no one drew blood, the squeaks and squeals were getting
too loud.  I reached in (yes, reached into the middle of a ferret fight.
No one bites me...period.) and pulled off each of the attacking fang-faces,
then picked up bushy-furred Chewy.  He looked around wildly (like someone
just getting off the scariest roller coaster in the world), then realized
that I had just "rescued" him again.  I got a couple of licks and a snuggle
for my troubles!  :)
 
I put Chewy back in his cage and gave him some snacks to calm him down.  He
then went down to the second level and tore up his newspapers (everyone
knows a guy likes to have his newspapers with him when he's taking care of
nature calls! :) ) and slammed some of his toys around (venting his excess
energy, no doubt), then climbed into his hammock and hit the sleep button.
He seemed quite happy to forget about the "out with the 'in' crowd" idea.
 
Next, I think I'll see how he and Hershey get along...maybe something will
build out of that.
