        Janice - there is no post-surgical medication in the vast majority of
cases.  Because the tumors secrete estrogen rather than corticosteroids, as in
cats and dogs, post-surgical steroid administration is not required.  All of my
ferrets that have undergone this surgery required nothing more than a few days
of antibiotics to prevent infection from surgery.
