> Can ferrets get tapeworms?

Ferrets can get tapeworms, but not from the feces of another animal, even
though it may contain portions of a tapeworm (also known as proglottids).
Proglottids look like little grains of rice in your dog's feces.

Ferrets, dogs, and cats all get tapeworms from eating fleas. The flea
contains the infective portion of the tapeworm. What you see in your dog's
feces cannot infect your ferret.

Best way to control tapeworms - control the fleas.
