Silklady,

I've boarded, had a ferret sitter, and brought the fuzzbuckets with me on
trips. By far, my favorite of the three is bringing the critters. That
isn't always possible though.

My advice is to try and find a bonded pet sitter. We have one here, who
comes into our home once a day to let the critters run, clean the litter
boxes, and make sure they have fresh food and water at the low price of
$7/day. This costs less than boarding and the carpet sharks have the
security of staying at home.

Ok, if you can't find a pet sitter, then by all means board your little one.
"Ferret Baby" will be fine--s/he may be a little cage crazed when you get
back but all will be forgotten when you give her/him a raisen. Make sure
s/he has a blanket with her/his smell on in it and some familiar toys. You
can wear an old t-shirt for a day or so and include that if you want as
well. Let the vet know you will provide food--you don't want "Ferret
Baby's" diet to be disturbed and include some treats to be given once a day.

As for run time, you will have to ask your vet. It varies from boarder to
boarder.

Cheers! (and have fun at Easter!)
Matthew.
