Hi Everybody,

We've discovered a variation on the old raisin as a ferret treat. Alky
encountered my bowl of Raisin Nut Bran the other day - you know, the kind with
the really big nut-covered raisins in it. Well, now those raisins are the only
kind fit for ferrets. None of this Sun-Maid stuff anymore! She really goes
"nuts" for these. To the point where we've had to ferret-proof the cabinet
holding the cereal. Now I just have to bodyguard my breakfast in the mornings.

I learned a *very* valuable lesson last week. I was on my way to the gym when
I noticed the gym bag on my passenger seat moving. So I unzipped it to find
Alky riding shotgun inside!! I have seen her climb around inside it before,
but I had always assumed I would notice if she was inside when I zipped it up.
Guess not. Now I know - check ferret location *before* leaving house. (This
isn't as bad as what happened to my parents once. They lived in Laramie and
were about halfway to Denver when they realized the neighbors' Siamese cat had
fallen asleep in the back seat. They couldn't turn around at that point 'cause
they had a meeting to get to, so they had to take the cat with them. INTO the
meeting, since they couldn't leave the cat in the car for several hours.
Apparently the cat, being a Siamese, talked for the rest of the drive down,
during the meeting, and all the way home. Their patience was sorely tried.
Not to mention the nerves of the other meeting attendees.)

Take care everyone!
Liesl and Alky in Princeton
