Hi folks,

Funny story. I packed my lunch this morning and left it on the couch prior to
leaving for the day. Alky climbed in and unpacked it for me - probably
attracted by the smell of the banana. She discovered that the crinkly wrapper
Pop-Tarts come in is fun to play with and dragged the Pop-Tarts behind the wall
unit. (I heard the sound from the other room but didn't clue in to what was
happening). Well, she got a bonus treat once she actually got the wrapper open
- next thing I knew she was at my feet looking up at me with grape Pop-tart
filling smeared all over her face and paws. I hope this doesn't upset her
insides. Actually it doesn't look like she ate that that much of the Pop-tart
(and I found all the pieces of the wrapper), but BOY did she make a mess of
herself and the carpet!

Dr. Brown/Dr. Williams,

Just wanted to let you know Alky's UTI is clearing up. Turns out that some E.
coli grew from the culture, but it's an amoxicillin sensitive strain. The
exterior area looks nearly normal now - just a little pink, and I haven't seen
any blood in two or three days. I took her back for a repeat urinalysis last
night (it's now been 7 days on the antibiotic). Everything was normal - no
RBC's or WBC's, and the chemistry's fine too. We'll keep her on the drug
another 14 days or so to make sure that all the bugs are well and gone, and
then recheck the urine. I think everything's going to turn out fine. Thanks
for all your advice!
