First I'd like to respond to the person who asked if Marshall Farms was the
only "Ferret Farm" around that mistreats their ferrets. I believe there is
a Canadian breeder that also practices the same as marshall farms. I have
had nothing but bad luck when I go to the pet stores and see these kits.
This farm breeds a TON of black-eyed white stripes. I actually bought one
once. Everyone I've known that has ever bought one has had the same problem
as me, these guys are vicious. I thought maybe I just got a really mean
one, but i've known 5 other people that have adopted these guys and have had
the same problem. They are also spayed too early and shipped long distances
when they are really young. I haven't seen them mentioned much on here, and
I can't remember their name, but I always hear them referred to as "that
canadian farm". These guys latch on to your finger and do not let go, even
at 6 months to a year of age. But they do grow up much larger than MF
ferrets.

my second item is cheap ferret stuff. I am constantly on the look out for
discount pet stuff by mail order since I'm broke and live out in the middle
of nowhere and I found a great place on the web 2 weeks ago. The address is
http://www.marineaquatics.com The site is sort of hard to navigate, and
there are no pictures or descriptions so you have to know what you are
looking for, but their stuff is dirt cheap, and shipping is free. They
charge a $5 handling fee on orders under $50. They have the really nice
hammocks from duke fashions for like $7 (the dreamscape hammock and the
flying cubby) and they have those reallly cool 32 oz flat-bac water bottles
that attach to your cage with a big clamp instead of the stupid wire for
$4.50. This bottle is also flat, doesn't take up any room, and has a
floating yellow duck so you can see the water level. I think Pets
International makes that. They have Marshall Farms products too, although
it's listed under the comany that manufactures the MF stuff. I got the
8-in-1 ferret food for around $1 or so a pound and the Four Paws shampoo for
around $3. Basically you navigate the site to the small animal produts, and
it gives you a HUGE list of manufactures and the items they sell with prices
next to them. You have to know what you are looking for or you won't find
it easily. They also had those Fun-nels things really cheap too. It's
mixed in with cat and dog products so you have to hunt but it is really
worth while. They ship UPS and I just got my order today, I am totally
happy. I was waiting to post till it all came in. Anyways check it out if
you get a chance. Happy dooking everyone :)
