Hi Everybody,

I adopted a little ferret 3 months ago, she is now 5 months old. She is
very healthy and really full of energy. I play with her everyday and take
her to the beach. She's always seeking my attention, and I believe she
knows me and trusts me as she runs into my jacket whenever she's afraid of
a new environment (although she's rarely afraid). She's absolutely lovely
and has gorgeous colours and shapes. She's lovely but BITES, she keeps
biting and biting, sometimes drawing blood. There seems to be no way to
make her stop, and I'm really getting worried. It seems to be her only way
of playing and interacting with humans. She's from a hunting breed, as it
is nearly the only reason people breed ferrets in Ireland; so I've been
thinking that it might be the reason for her relatively "wild" behaviour.
Could anyone help us on this ? Please let us benefit from your experience.

Many thanks,
Sebastien.

PS: Is there anyone else on the list who lives in the Republic of Ireland
(or even Galway), I have this feeling that I'm the only pet ferret-owner
in the area.
