Hear!  Hear!  You won't get flamed from me, because I also saw that
slamming of the ferrets, and more than once.  I agree with you almost
100%.
 
And I also want to comment to whoever said "breeder ferrets don't end up
in shelters" WRONG.  I know where 2 are right now,papers and all.  If a
buyer doesn't want the ferrets anymore, and doesn't want to look like a
complete jackass,why would any reasonable person think they would take
them back to where they got them?  Breeders can talk and get contracts
and "educate" till they are blue in the face, and if the buyer doesn't
care, it means NOTHING.
 
I am also of the mind that if you breed, you should also own/shelter
rescue ferrets,but I go one step further.  You should also have HOMES
lined up for the ferrets before they are born.  To even have a waiting
list.
 
This is not an ideal world, and it isn't realistic to say something
"never" happens.
