I just got something in the mail today from the Animal Legal Defense Fund,
and it made me think of the recent post about the girl who intentionally
starved her ferret to death.  The mission of this organization is to see
that crimes of cruelty against animals do not go unpunished.  They may be
worth contacting about this incident:
