I don't know how fast our guys would do, as we don't have a straightaway 25'
anywhere in the house, but I suspect one or two would be right up there
given a chance.
 
However, I'm willing to bet there isn't a faster ferret going downstairs
than Stash on a good day.  He absolutely plunges down the 10 steps to the
basement when he's on a rampage.  So fast he invariable loses his balance
and crashes into the wall.
 
And Mookie, while not as fast as Stash, certainly would be competitive in
any down-the-stairs speed-per-unit-of-mass competition. From above, he looks
like someone threw a hairy bag of Jello with a tail down the stairs. He
knows we keep a jar of treats down there.
