I've noticed just a couple emails about this girl's situation, but I feel I
have to say to these emails and other people who might be thinking similar
thoughts: Lay off of Kris.  None of us have any idea of what has happened
in her life.  Nothing is as simple as we might like it to be, and I doubt
she arrived lightly at the decision to give up her ferret.  Posting emails
telling her to dump the guy is just not constructive.
