This is amazing.  I just met a woman who moved up north to NYS from
Florida.  She has had ferrets for a number of years and has never ever
vaccinated them for anything because her vet advised her against it!
She was told that if she didn't take them anywhere or outside that her
ferrets wouldn't need vaccination!
 
I did tell the woman (she's a nurse!) that she most likely should at
least have distemper done as it's airborne and can be brought in from
anywhere on clothing, shoes, other animals, etc.
 
I had the same reaction...how can a "knowledgeable" vet give this kind
of advise?  Am I confused here?
