Please understand that my intention is not to judge or to flame. Only to
put in my two cents.

This is in regards to those persons who feel it okay to throw away (put up
for adoption) their beloved fuzzbutts because a life-change renders them
inconvenient. When you adopt an animal, ANY animal, you commit yourself
to caring for that life for it's whole life!!! That ferret has loved you
unconditionally. Can you not return the service? My boyfriend delicately
approached the subject of finding my fuzzies new homes when we moved in
together. It was our first fight, and a big one. When it came down to
it, I told him not to make me choose between him and my beloved fuzzies -
because he WOULD lose. You don't tell someone that they have to abandon
a pet. NEVER! UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! I would rather abandon the
boyfriend. Not because I love him less than the ferrets, but on principle
of him making me make that decision. I believe that someone who would put
out an ultimatum such as that has serious character flaws which need to be
adressed above and beyond the ultimatum itself. These animals depend on
you. These babies love you...even if you give them away. If you step on
them. If you mistreat them. Ferrets will kiss the foot that kicks them.
(NOT saying I kick my ferrets). Their love is unconditional and that is
the most beautiful thing in the world. Please take this into account
before you make a quick decision based on convenience, or on making someone
else happy. (Also, please understand that I do realize that there are
circumstances which would warrant finding a better home for your pets.)

BTW, my boyfriend has come to understand how very much I love my boys.
Though he doesn't share my affinity for them, he does understand it.
We are all happily living together and looking toward a bright future
together - all of us.

Kim and Damian and the tremendous two,
Jerry (more food..more food please? I know the dish is full, but I WANT
