Hi all! This is my first posting- I have been on this list since I got
my computer a few months ago! I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I
currently have 4 fuzzies, and they have run of the house. I had adopted an
unwanted male "Lil Rat" about 4 years ago, he has since passed on, and I
knew nothing about ferrets, except what he taught me. I think this is the
greatest learning tool that we have- learning from experience- ours, and
others. I couldn't think about keeping my pets in a cage- they are too
happy and spoiled! I am gone at work for over 24hrs at a time, and it
gives me such joy to come home and have 4 fuzzies come running from all
diections to see me. They are very good about using litter boxes, and I
had a friend construct a piece of plywood that slides down into the door
frame of rooms that I don't want them investigating- the wood is 2 ft high
(easy for humans to step over), and tall enough for ferrets to not jump
over, even if they form a cheerleader pyramid. I never knew to "keep
ferrets in cages", so I guess my little ones are special. I wouldn't have
it any other way! It's been 4 yrs since my first one, and funny how you
can't have enough! Thanks for letting me share my story. If anyone has
any questions- please email me @ [log in to unmask]
