Here in the UK one of the products to kill fleas in carpets and furniture is called Acclaim and one treatment lasts for 12 months, thus breaking the flea life cycle. -- If I can be of any help, I am not a vet and in the past 40 years none of my animals have visited a vet for anything other than routine check ups.
