Hello all!
    I need a little advice.  I just got a little boy sable (for FREE!!) from
a girl on campus.  :) I don't think she knew much about ferrets even though
she worked in a pet store.  1) she was using Cedar Fresh clumping litter
(I've heard this is bad.) 2) she was feeding him generic CAT food 3) he had
not had his distemper vaccine series, all he got was the initial one from
Marshall Farms.  My problem is I don't know how to adjust all of this
without causing him a lot of stress.  He's already got to adjust to me and a
knew house.  I went and bought some IAMS kitten food, Nutri-Cal & Laxatone
(neither of which he likes!), and I made an appt.  with a vet for a shot.
He seems like he's adjusting pretty well, he already gives me kisses.  Am I
doing okay?!?!
 
    One more little thing, he doesn't know his name.  Can I rename him?  If
so, got any suggestions???
