At least they didn't awaken to feeling of having their feet being chewed
on!
 
But they must seek out a friendly human in the middle of the night, as
the ferret of a friend of mine got into someone's bed when he was lost.
Fortunately, when the person woke up feeling fur against his face his first
thought was that it was his cat.  Notices and pictures of Rowdy were posted
on the moorage bulletin boards so the finder knew who he belonged to.
