FACTOID 1
Remember way back when Parvo hit dogs? It was violent and deadly. It was
very much a mystery of how to treat and prevent it. Well ADV is like a
strain of parvovirus. Where did it begin? Well ADV or Aleutians disease
hit mink farms quite a while ago. Most mink farms back when, also had
ferrets.

It was only a matter of time for the virus to mutate to a form that could
infect ferrets also. I read that technically... ADV began in the fifties
I think, actually.

FACTOID 2
There is currently no cure for ADV. As of now there is no possible vaccine
either because every time a proposed vaccine has been administered to a
ferret... the ferret has actually come down with the virus.
