Yesterday I went to the vets with some ferrets for their RV, so now I have
2 more ferrets up for adoption!
but first update on Odo and Spooky! The vet said they are doing good, they
are eating now. They both had low blood sugar levels, so now will be on a
low dose of Pred forever. She did do a CBC on Odo and we are waiting for
the results. spooky had the tumor removed from his paw and is doing good.
They will be going to their foster mom's house today.
Mona is a 1 1/2 yr. old S/F, Panda, beautiful markings. She is a little
nippy but very happy. She came from the animal shelter in Pomona Ca.,
from what I was told by FA and the courier, she is the first to make it
out of the shelter alive. They have euth all the ferrets previous to her.
so thanks to the ferret folks in Cal, you are making progress on getting
the ferrets out alive. Mona will be ok, she just needs a little TLC.
she plays well with other ferrets as well.
Skittlebutt is a 2 yr. old N/M, sable, he's a big fat man. He is
currently housed with Mona. His owner gave him up after his lover passed
away. He told me that Skittle was really his lover's ferret and since he
died he doesn't have the time for the ferret any more. It was a very sad
rescue, I felt so bad for the man as he was crying his eyes out. He just
wanted to do the right thing for the ferret. The ferret is very loving, he
is a cuddlebutt!! We also still have many other ferrets up for adoption.
We are currently caring for 76 ferrets!!! And a rat with a broken leg.
This is a little off topic, but, I have an 8 yr. old L.A. dog that needs
a great home with an older family if you know anyone looking. Also I have
3 kittens that will be weaned in 5-6 weeks that will also need homes. I
want to thank the loser that owned the momma cat for not having her spayed
and letting her run the streets. At least she came here to have her
kittens, she will be spayed and will continue to stay with us unless a
very special home is found for her. I am leary about adopting out black
cats to people I do not know.
