**The advice dispensed by myself in reference to FML postings is not meant
to supplant the advice of veterinarians who are in charge of the patient.
If the patient is not currently under the care of a veterinarian, the client
is recommended to take their ferret to one.**

I would think gastrointestinal inflammation and suggest aggressive nursing
care which includes force feeding, peptobismol and amoxixillin suspension.

Unfortunately this is one of those things that a picture is worth a thousand
words. I would probably lance it and if no pus appeared, biopsy it.

I would think obstruction also.  Get this ferret to your vet a.s.a.p.
