One can NEVER be 100% sure of anything, whether you have paperwork, have
seen paperwork or just inquired about paperwork. A ferret can have ADV,
and still come up with a negative result. An owner can falsify results
by testing a positive ferret and pawning the results off for the negative
ferret. There is NO SURE THING! The only thing you can be sure of is
how you deal with the bedding when it enters your home and how YOU care
for the ferrets in your care. Washing the bedding BEFORE using it, using
hot water and a parvocide or bleach water is your best bet. One should
NOT be afraid of purchasing things off of ebay however. If this disease
was spread that easily, we would have a HUGE epidemic on our hands.
Right now ADV is being managed by the wonderful people out there who do
test, and keep the disease contained (Thank you ADV Positive Shelters).
This disease has been around for many, many years. With the proper
precautions we can contain the virus. But to be blowing things out of
proportion, like I have witness on the internet groups is down right
nasty. Millie has targeted one person, took her name, made Yahoo groups
under that name, registered emails under that name. It is more then just
a discussion about ADV. It is harassment.

Millie herself stated she would never buy bedding from this girl. So why
continue the discussion then?? I personally have purchased bedding from
this girl, her bedding is quality bedding. Like with any bedding I get
in the mail, I washed it first. All is well here! And we do test for ADV.
