So glad you found Zoe!  In my brief ferret-owning experience, I have "lost"
them twice, in the house, for just an hour or so, and they were found
sleeping in odd places.  But I know the anguish and worry and tears you
felt!
 
Lucky that the finders were decent people.  Were they ferret owners?  I'm
sure you thanked them to pieces and maybe even will send them some ferret
info. They might want to own - or rescue - a ferret of their own now since
they've seen Zoe.
 
Anyway, congrats on the happy ending.
