I was coming home yesterday from shopping (Dinky got a travel carrycase,
FerretTone, FerretBites, and a new hammock) and I noticed a huge van across
the street.  The side of the van read "Vet Calls".  So, naturally I ran over
to check it out.  This doctor makes vet housecalls!  Her van is equipped
with xray and full surgical equipment.  And she does ferrets.  The housecall
is $25.  I thought this was ingenious.  Dinky has her own vet, but if she's
ever (knock on wood) too sick to be moved, or the vet is not available, I

She also has a web page at http://www.vetcalls.com where she states that
it's sometimes helpful to treat animals in their home because the
environment may be what's causing the sickness to begin with.
