I would like some comments, including Bob Church's, on the variations to
his gravy recipe. I seem to remember that, when Bob originally posted
his recipe, he said that he had researched and worked to get it as
nutritionally balanced as possible. I also believe I remember him saying
that the amount of sugar in the recipe was so minute (in each serving)
that it would not harm insulinomic ferrets (in his opinion). I then read
where people omit this and that, and add this and that instead, and the
substitutions don't appear to serve the same purpose as the items deleted.
Does that reduce the nutritional value? Is it still balanced? Just
curious.
