Well, the fuzzies have discovered yet another interesting method of
attempting suicide. Everybody's just fine, but thought I would mention
this, because it certainly could have been serious.

The instrument of death is what we call "Nordic Surprise": furniture in a
box. 30 pieces of laminated board, an allen key, and Swedish instructions...
ring a bell?

Well, I have three tall sets of "Nordic Surprise" bookshelves. Each shelf
is supported by four metal pegs. The part of the peg that supports the
shelf is covered by a chewy plastic sleeve...and this is what caught the
interest of the fuzzies.

In an effort to remove the chewy sleeves, two pegs were removed from one
shelf. I now have one proud fuzzy, and 300 previously sorted floppy disks
all over my floor.

Interestingly, it seems that the monsters have been able to de-sleeve some
of the pegs without removing the shelves. Clearly, I am going to have to
finish that job for them. (Hiding the sleeves somewhere, NOT dumping the
contents of the shelves on the floor.)

Lynn.
