Maybe if we all make a list of approximately how much we spend on our
little fuzzies and total it and send it to the California honchos they
might see what we are really talking about.  My husband keeps track of
everything on the computer and we spent about $6000 last year on pets,
mostly on ferret care.  There's only one cat and she didn't need much
besides food.  Our numbers vary from ten to fourteen ferrets.  Some
are from our club/rescue and I rarely ask for money for food.
 
For the count I currently have 10 personal ferts and 2 boarders.  Two
others went to the bridge recently.  Some other people I know have 6,
10, 7 and 29.
