There are several -
- Lupron (both depot and 24 hour) - can be expensive
- Lysodren - relatively inexpensive
- Melatonin - inexpensive
- Casodex - very expensive
- Riley Adrenal Recipe - initially a bit expensive but well worth it

I've used the 24 hour lupron (given every 2-4 weeks) to help keep at bay
prostate problems in the boys with good results. Ferris is going in for
his Lupron depot (time-released) injection tomorrow. His surgery was
unsuccessful - both adrenals looked normal with only the left having a
darkened spot so Larry removed it - and I've had him on and off Baytril
and 24 hour lupron for a couple months so we are going to try the lupron
depot for him. I really didn't want a second surgery to remove the right
as we've not had good results on very many of the bi-laterals. I'm hoping
the Lupron depot will give us a good 6 months of no adrenal symptoms (and
me a break).

I've used Lysodren with mixed results. It also can lower blood sugar but
that can be controlled with a wee bit of pediapred in those cases. When
it works, it works.

I've not tried Melatonin but have been considering it. I'm sure I'll
have the opportunity sometime in the near future. I've got two that are
possibly early adrenal and they are certainly in the running for it.

We used Casodex on one boy but it didn't work for him and the cost was
prohibitive.

I've not used the Riley adrenal recipe but have heard good results from
others who have used it.
