I have been reading alot about ferret personalities and I want to share my
story.

I have owned Abby for almost a year and she is just as sweet as anyone
would ever want a ferret to be. Lots of attention, loves to be picked
up, never runs away etc, etc.

I am also owned by "Bailey" and he is (was) the biggest pain in the rear.
Attacking Abby at every opportunity, attacking me (scratching, biting
--hard!!--) with a vengeance. I had almost lost all hope. Then one night
last week while working on my computer at home (with three pairs of socks to
withstand any attacks), Bailey started to put his paws on my leg, I would
pick him up, pet him, talk softly and quickly set him down (afraid of the
coming bite). This would repeat and repeat, night after night. Now when I
pick him up, he cuddles in my lap for minutes or even until I set him down
(this is amazing for him!).

So to all of you who feel you have lost all hope, keep trying, even a little
at a time. Use soft words, lots of socks and remember to count to ten while
bandaging yourself. With enough love any beast can come around!

I just don't seem to hear anything about us here in the midwest.
Can't understand why, its only 0 degrees 6 months out of the year!
