Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me about the 'shelter' in PA.  No answers
or actions yet, but I have made some very helpful contacts with those that
can help and have experienced the problem before.
 
I will keep everyone updated and thanks again for offering to help.
 
By the way, the 3 guys that I brought home are wonderful little
sweethearts, a tad skinny, but quite affectionate.  Not sure if they will
be staying.  So, if anyone is in the market for a group of three (male
sable mitt ~3, male Siamese ~3, female marked white ~4), let me know!!!
All are MFs.  I am working with my vet to make some payment arrangements
for getting all these guys up on shots and testing.
