Hello everyone,
 
Thanks to Hildy and the Californina Domestic Ferret Association,
Californians for Ferret Legalization (CFL) will host a booth at the
Sacramento Family Pet Expo this month.
 
These events are usually extremely well attended by both ferret clubs and
the general public and CFL will be, as usual, focusing on the legalization
effort in California.  We'll have zip code sheets available to help let the
public know which Assembly and Senate District they belong to and which
members currently represent them.  We'll have ferret fact sheets on hand
and answer questions plus provide vet referrals to new owners.  Every year
these have been very well attended and our table has been swamped-- in past
years I've practically lost my voice, not from shouting but from nonstop
dialog with new ferret supporters met at this event and the one in Pomona
Los Angeles!
 
I will try to cover a good portion of the day on Saturday, and can take 2-3
west bay volunteers with me to Sacramento that day, but will need multiple
volunteers to help set up on Thursday and to cover the other days.  You'll
have a chance to meet some of the great folks from the Golden State Ferret
Society as well as the Capitol City Ferret Club.
 
The dates are Friday Oct. 27th from 10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M.; Saturday Oct.
28th 9:00 A.M.-7:00 PM; and Sunday10/29 10:00 AM-6:00 P.M.  The event is
at the CAL Expo Center.  If you can cover a portion of any of these days,
please let me know!
