To Dr. Williams:
 
I'm curious as to why a ferret would need a rabies vaccine.  It doesn't
seem carry any weight if the ferret should bite someone.  Also, what are
the odds of a ferret contracting rabies if it never leaves the house or
comes in contact with any other animals?
 
Don't get me wrong, both of my ferrets get regular checkups and their
distemper and rabies vaccine every year, I just don't see the point of
the rabies vaccine.
 
Maybe you can enlighten me as to why this is a good thing to do.
