To those shelters that received a glucometer at my workshop in
Portland, be assured that you were given the Accu-Chek Aviva and not
the one being recalled. (Thanks to Sharon Beardon of SOS for getting
the monitors that were given to the shelter moms in attendance.)

Also, remember to have your veterinarian call the Abbott Animal Health
contact to give their support for the AlphaTrak Glucometer (for animal
use only) and to give their interest in the use for ferret blood
testing. This would be a very big help in monitoring our insulinomic
ferrets.
