I just wanted to update everyone on my baby Unagi whom I suspect is
adrenal. Tomorrow we will be leaving California for Oregon (10 hour
drive) where Unagi is scheduled for surgery on Thursday afternoon. I was
convinced the adrenal surgery was the right treatment at this time, but
than I read the post about adrenal being environmental. Now I'm confused.

If infact it is environmental than Unagi more than likely is not adrenal.
All my other ferts (5) are in great health. We never have had anything
more than a URI (knock on wood). But the hair loss points to adrenal.
Although the surgery is scheduled I am going to leave it up to the vets
discretion whether to continue with surgery or to wait awhile and see if
the symptoms get worse. Of course I run the risk of her hair growing back
and fooling us into thinking it was a false alarm or advanced adrenal
disease occurring. Either way it's a lousy dilemma to be in.

Be well everyone - I will post again upon our (safe) return.

Fuzzyhugz,
Tanya and Unagi
