You are absolutley right on this subject!!!  I know I wouldn't thump a
human on the nose for traiing purposes, so DON'T thump a ferret on the
nose.  There noses are VERY VERY delicate and sensitive.
 
So I'm urging people to scruff them instead!!!!  Its a much more natural
way of training them, just like there mothers do!!!!
