I used Sucralafate/Carafate when my Scooter had helicobacter, too.  Luckily
for me, I'm near a compounding pharmacy.
 
That pharmacy was able to take the liquid Sucralafate/Carafate and compound
it for me into a liver-flavoured suspension.  They also provided a special
dosing syringe and cap that went with the syringe, which made it very easy
to draw the appropriate dosage from the bottle.  I then gave it to him
orally, and he didn't make too much fuss about it. :->
