I really don't know what Bunni Rabbit's problem is, but I will describe a
case that has some elements in common.
 
One day we arrived home to find Diesel drooling on the kitchen floor, unable
to get up (he would sort of flop around).  He had obviously thrown up
several times.  When you picked him up, his head would tilt 90 degrees to
the left.
 
We rushed him to the local 24 hour vet, where they gave him fluids and
antibiotics.  They couldn't tell us much, except maybe he had an ear
infection.  They sent us home and told us to continue the antibiotics, etc.
 
We went to a real ferret vet at the soonest chance we got, who checked his
ears and said he definitely had a bad ear infection (I don't remember if it
was ear mites or something else now).  He prescribed a stronger antibiotic.
He also said the drooling and vomiting was because Diesel was nauseated by
his balance system not working.  We drove home taking the bumps and corners
as easily as possible.
 
The next day or so, Diesel stopped blinking his left eye and had even more
trouble moving.  The vet said the infection must be inflaming his optic
nerve channel, and gave us some eye drops to keep his cornea moist so that
he would have a chance of retaining sight in that eye when the infection
subsided.
 
After a week or so, Diesel was feeling much better, blinking his eye again,
but his head still tilted to the left quite severely.
 
Now, over a year later, he still has some aftereffects: His balance/jumping
is not what it was before, I'm not sure that he sees very well from that
eye, he can't localize sounds as well as our other ferrets, and his head
tilts about 5 degrees.  When he was still very ill, he developed a very cute
(and a little sad) way of twisting his head up around to the right to look
up at things, even things to his left, which he has still retained.
 
All in all, we're extremely happy to just have him around.  He's a great
little guy, even more playful and gentle than the others, and leads a
perfectly normal, happy ferret life.
 
I hope your Bunni Rabbit recovers from her problem soon.  It sounds like you
are taking good care of her and I am sure she appreciates your efforts!
